Q: Who can get the new COVID-19 vaccine from Kohll’s without a prescription?


A: Anyone 65 years and older. No prescription required.

Q: If I am 6 months to 64 years old, how can Kohll’s administer my COVID-19 vaccine?


A: If you have one of the following qualifying conditions, you can receive the vaccine without a prescription by indicating it on your consent form:

  • Asthma

  • Blood cancers

  • Cerebrovascular disease

  • Chronic kidney, lung, or liver disease

  • Cystic fibrosis

  • Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes (including gestational)

  • Disabilities (including Down syndrome)

  • Heart conditions

  • HIV

  • Mood disorders (e.g., depression, schizophrenia)

  • Dementia or Parkinson’s disease

  • Obesity (BMI 30+)

  • Physical inactivity

  • Pregnancy (current or recent)

  • Primary immunodeficiencies

  • Smoking (current or former)

  • Solid organ or blood stem cell transplant recipients

  • Tuberculosis

  • Use of immunosuppressive drugs


Q: What if I do not have one of the above conditions?


A: You no longer need a prescription. The CDC now recommends that anyone 6 months and older may receive a COVID-19 vaccine based on individual-based, shared clinical decision-making with their healthcare provider or pharmacist. Kohll’s Rx can administer the vaccine directly without a prescription.
